About Nazareth Olive Oil

Nazareth Olive Oil is a single varietal extra virgin olive oil produced from the hand picked Souri (aka Syrian) olives of Nazareth, Israel. These unique olives create the finest flavors and aromas that is unmistakable in our olive oil.

The Souri olive of Nazareth's historic hills is organically grown with no fertilizers or pesticides. It is among the most ancient olives harvested for its precious oil. Indigenous to the Nazareth region, the Souri olive grows well in the arid, sunny climate. The Souri olive is said to have originated from the Lebanese town of Sur (Tyre). There are two common names for this variety of olive, the Souri Olive and also the Syrian Olive. There are also records indicating the tree was originally grown in modern day Syria. This olive is especially suitable for olive oil production because of its distinctly aromatic flavors and high oil content. Historical records show evidence that the people of this region were well aware of the benefits of consuming olive oil in their daily diets for millenniums.
